Organic Chemistry Tutor

Organic Chemistry TutorIn the natural world, no mineral can be found that cannot be traced back to mTan Organic Chemistry Tutor. Indeed, this is one of the things that makes the book worth reading. There are many things that man offers which gives the chemist or scientist the needed boost in his self-esteem. All that he has to do is to take a look at the sources of this mineral in order to trace down what it really is.If you are getting confused about what the mineral is exactly, and how can you utilize it to your advantage, then, look no further, Organic Chemistry Tutor is the one book for you. This book will explain to you everything that you need to know about mTan.The scientific terms contained in the book are arranged neatly and clearly so that you will be able to access it in no time at all. You can easily locate your desired information, be it about mTan, molecular properties, molecular weights, or even solvent, its affinity, solubility, etc. These scientific terms are constantl y given in a concise manner so that you will be able to check out each one of them. Furthermore, you will get to know about the ionic charge of the mineral which you require. There are lots of other books on organic chemistry, but very few of them explain to the chemist the importance of the chemical ionization and its importance in organic chemistry.By using Organic Chemistry Tutor, you will be taught about its atomic weight, physical group, chemical composition, and its molecular formula. Therefore, this book will help you in understanding and practicing more than two hundred advanced scientific concepts pertaining to organic chemistry. There are various other topics that are discussed in the book such as titration chemistry, mechanical properties, stoichiometry, transfer, and dissolution, etc. It would have been great if the author of Organic Chemistry Tutor could have organized the whole book in chronological order. But, that is just not possible because he has used only a singl e table of contents to make his book.

4 Must-Read Choir Audition Tips Selecting Your Song More

4 Must-Read Choir Audition Tips Selecting Your Song More Sign up successful “Zueignung” Richard Strauss. This short but gorgeous piece in German shows off your vocal range AND ability to sing a long, connected line. “Ici-bas!” Gabriel Faure. This moderate-tempo art song is marvelous for showing off French diction, overall vocal range, and musicality. “Come Ready and See Me” This lovely American art song by Richard Hundley is a favorite for many reasons. It has a lovely, memorable melody! Remember that it’s important to show how well you enunciate in your native language (a huge thing with choral directors), so if you perform this well and really use the dynamics, you’ll impress! Auditioning With Other Songs If the chorus youre auditioning for allows a variety of audition songs, here are some helpful lists to find great choir audition songs based on your voice type: 6 Showstopping Audition Songs Perfect for Tenors 8 Dazzling Audition Songs for Alto Voices 2) Brush Up On Your Sight Reading Skills This is one of the most important choral audition tips, since sight singing is often part of the audition process. There are tons of resources out there that can help books such as the Danhauser series by   G. Schirmer or the Jenson Sight Singing Course, and very useful websites such as The Practice Room   but make sure youre also working with your singing teacher within your lessons to improve your skills. If youre nervous, dont fret: it’s unlikely the audition panel/choral director will have you read anything in a crazy key or time signature! They are looking for basic musicianship. Remember to practice slow and steady, and to take deep breaths. Treat it the same way you treat your songs when you practice. The same advice certainly applies for when you sight read on your audition day! 3) Practice Your Intervals Singing intervals is an essential skill for all singers, and will come in handy when you’re sight reading your part in choral rehearsals! Funky n Fun Series 3: “Challenging Patterns” by Kim Chandler is incredible for helping singers identify all sorts of intervals, scales, triads, and so on. Once you’ve got them in your ear, it will make the tonal memory and sight reading portions of your audition much easier for you. Plan to spend a good amount of time on these exercises in both your vocal lessons and practice leading up to your choir audition. 4) Watch Videos of Dynamic Choral Directors Eric Whitacre is one the hottest to follow right now. (He has even given a TED Talk!)  Watch how closely his singers follow his every move. His passion for each piece that he conducts really shows on his face and translates over to the rest of his choir. The best conductors are able to do this!   It’s important that choral singers look completely  engaged as they perform, just as if they were soloists. Your voice teacher is also bound to have plenty of other choir audition tips and sound advice on how to prepare! Note that many choral works require straight tone, so if you have a bigger voice and have been training as a soloist, you’ll definitely want to ask your voice teacher for help with this. What Makes a Great Gift for a Child with ADHD

What Makes a Great Gift for a Child with ADHD Its that time of year again when we all work hard to find just the right toy or gift for our kids. If you have a child with ADHD, gift giving is yet one more area where you may find yourself being even more thoughtful than most about the items you choose. The team at ADDitude Magazine recently published a whole host of gift ideas for kids with ADHD, ranging from fidget kits to stress relievers, to books to toys. Their articles cover great non-tech toys (https://www.additudemag.com/slideshows/gift-ideas-adhd-kids/), gift ideas for kids with sensory issues (https://www.additudemag.com/slideshows/sensory-gifts-for-adhd-children/) and products designed for tactile learners (https://www.additudemag.com/slideshows/educational-toys-for-children-with-adhd/). They are terrific resources for parents. But outside of these recommended toys, what should you be thinking about when evaluating toys and gifts for your child with ADHD? Try this simple checklist to help you make great decisions. Does it play to their strengths and help them feel a sense of accomplishment? Between school and homework, kids with ADHD spend a lot of time involved in activities that play to their weaknesses instead of their strengths. During their downtime, look for activities that will play to their strengths, whether its their artistic, musical, athletic, or social abilities, and allow them to shine. Also, look for gifts that are age appropriate and within their ability level. Its great if a toy or activity challenges your child and stretches their skills. Just avoid gifts that are likely to be too difficult and lead to the frustration and meltdowns that can quickly derail playtime for kids with ADHD. Does it allow for creative play? Kids with ADHD thrive when they can play outside the box and create moments that fit with how they prefer to interact with their world. So toys and games that dont fit a mold or have strict rules about how they are played tend to be favorites among the ADHD kid set. These toys and games allow them to express themselves through their play and bring their version of the world to life. Does it keep them busy and engaged? There is a reason fidget toys are so popular with all kids, but especially kids with ADHD. It keeps them busy. They help channel that nervous, hyperactive energy so kids can feel calm and have more space for creative thinking. There are many hands-on toys available that allow kids to focus and calm their mind. For kids who arent very active, but need an engaging activity to quiet their thoughts, detailed coloring books for kids (and adults) paired with a big set of colored pencils can make a great gift. Is it active? Is it outdoors? Most kids with ADHD have more than enough energy to burn. When they dont have any opportunity to be active, their ADHD symptoms become worse, and everyone in the family suffers. So, games that involve running, jumping, stretching, reaching (Twister anyone?) anything active will be a good fit for your child with ADHD. Outdoor games are also great for kids with ADHD, getting them away from screens and using up some of that energy. Just be wary of games that require a tremendous amount of of coordination or hours of practice to master. These games can frustrate some kids with ADHD and will be anything but fun. Is it fast-paced? Kids with ADHD are most focused and engaged when they are participating in a faced paced activity. Fast paced, shorter games leave little space for kids minds to wander, setting children with ADHD up for success and fun! With so much to choose from this holiday season, finding the right gift for a child with ADHD can feel overwhelming. But with a little thoughtfulness and consideration of your childs strengths and their ADHD needs, you can find the perfect gift that will bring hours of fun. ABOUT DR. Bitches or Beaches English Pronunciation Video

Bitches or Beaches English Pronunciation Video In the last two years, many students of my online English classes have asked me how to be sure they correctly the words bitches or beaches and shits or sheets. To non-native speakers the words can sound similar, but they know that the words have quite different meanings. In the video below, I talk to Frank about the difference. How to make sure you don’t make the pronunciation mistake? Sheet and Beach are long E sounds. If you smile when you say Beach and Sheet you will pronounce it correctly. Pull back your lips into a big smile and say bEAch emphasizing the middle sound of E.The opposite is true if you want to or need to say shit or bitch. Press your lips together like a kiss and say them. Put the emphasis on the T sound biTCH or shiT.Follow these pronunciation tips and you will never be embarrassed about asking for shits at a hotel or asking where the best bitches are when on vacation. If you have more pronunciation problems or questions register for an English class on pronuncia tion.

A career as a teacher allows you to choose which age group to work with. Maybe you enjoy playing with kids and like watching them grow. Then you may want to consider being a preschool or kindergarten teacher. If you enjoy teaching children and shaping their minds, then you’ll probably want to work with the older groups. Pediatrician Does the human body and the way it works intrigue you? But do you also love talking to and helping kids when they don’t feel well? Then a career as a pediatrician for you! You can work in either a pediatrician’s office or a pediatric hospital. via Pixabay Camp Director Do you have fond memories of going to summer camp as a kid? 4 Tips for Improving Your Customer Service Skills

4 Tips for Improving Your Customer Service Skills Image via: www.pexels.com Grow thick skin Developing thick skin can sometimes be one of the most difficult things to accomplish and if it is not difficult congratulations! That means that the rest of the journey towards improved customer service skills will be painless and easier after this. Once you’re working in customer service, you must prepare yourself for the wide range of individuals you will find yourself working with on a daily basis. Without a doubt, it is absolutely frustrating to deal with a difficult or rude customer, especially when that customer decides to vent their frustrations through some “below the belt” blows against you personally. It is difficult, to say the least, to remain professional while the little volcano of irritation within you is itching for a chance to explode. Instead, develop thick skin. Remember that a customer’s behavior is a reflection of who they are, not who you are. Also, try to keep in mind that you don’t know this person’s story. They might have just had a death in the family, or maybe they’re ill. Whatever the case, do not let the behavior of your customers affect your headspace, mood, or actions. Count to 10 and keep the good vibes running. Image via: www.pexels.com Be attentive After the first hour or two of a long shift, it is completely normal to find yourself becoming pretty sluggish. The adrenaline rush of the first rounds of customers has worn off and now you’re drifting away into slumber mode while the remaining customers amble through the store. To improve your customer service skills, make sure that this slumber mode never sees the light of day. Always keep your eye on the customers in the store. This doesn’t mean that you need to constantly be on their tail all throughout the building; this just means that you shouldn’t neglect them of your attention even though they aren’t demanding yours at the present moment. Customers don’t always communicate their needs by coming right up to you and expressing them. Sometimes, you need to be on the lookout for subtle indicators, like body language. If you notice a customer looking around the store or appearing as if they are lost, go and assist them right away. They might not be familiar with your store and could be in need of your assistance. Showing your customers more attention and love means that in the end, they’ll show the same love and attention right back by leaving positive reviews on your store’s social media or submitting positive feedback online. What could be more rewarding than helping someone find what they need? Image via: www.pexels.com Use positive language   One of the most important components to any relationship is effective communication. The relationship between a staff member and a customer is no different. Think of what made the difference between a positive shopping experience and a meh shopping experience. More than likely, one of the first things that came to mind had something to do with the employees who provided their service to you. The best customer service workers are the ones who can use “positive language” with their customers. What is “positive language,” you might ask? Let’s say that a customer comes into your store looking for a certain product, but that product is out of stock. Without the use of positive language, you would just be dampening your customer’s spirits. That product is unavailable at this time.  With positive language, your customer hears a completely different message. That product will be available next week so I can set up an order for you now and have it delivered as soon as it is back in stock. See the difference? By taking attention away from the dilemma and placing it on the solution, you can completely change a customer’s in-store experience. Image via:www.pexels.com Take initiative Go the extra mile! It’s easy to just clock in, ring up a few items, and then clock out, but that’s not where the adventure lies. More importantly, that’s not where the self-improvement lies. If your customer is looking for a pair of pants in their size that isn’t in the main store room, offer to check the back room! If your customer is wondering when a certain line of clothing will be hitting the shelves again, don’t brush them off with an “I dunno.” Smile, tell them you’ll find out for them, and go find the answers. Take initiative by going above and beyond your job description. It’s little things like this that help change every customer’s shopping experience from meh to great! Not to mention those customer service skills … feel free to add that to your LinkedIn profile!

9 Powerful Ways to Protest as a College Student

9 Powerful Ways to Protest as a College Student Womens March on Washington D.C., 1/21/17Image via Wikipedia Commons Marches and highly active forms of protest are not necessarily inclusive of those with physical and mental disabilities, undocumented individuals, or people of color who may feel a higher sense of fear when entering areas where a lot of police are present. January 20 was a highly charged day for millions who feel betrayed at best when reconciling that the new U.S. president counteracts the human rights we have fought so hard to obtain in the first place that the White House website no longer has a LGBT rights, disability, or climate change page is alarming enough for an action on day 1. Are you ready to protest this injustice? Here are nine ways to do so that dont only revolve around physically demanding marches: 1. March/strike If you feel that marching or participating in a strike suits you, by all means, rally with your community! Create some cardboard signs with powerful statements on them, and make sure to bring plenty of water with you if you plan on chanting throughout the march. Even if you’re not “loud,” entering charged environments like marches and strikes can easily dehydrate you. 2. Write For many, writing is a huge medium for protest, be it in poetry, essay, fiction, or any other type of creative writing. Write to state officials about issues that matter to you. Write a letter to your parents who are afraid of losing their insurance, or to your undocumented friends who are afraid for their safety in the U.S. Language is powerful! 3. Start dialogue Silence is violence and white silence is even worse. Talk to friends about what’s going on in politics and human rights and welcome exchanges of dialogue. However, remember that freedom of speech does not exempt you from being held accountable for your statements. If your beliefs impinge upon the rights of others or actively hurt a community, it’s likely problematic, and you’ll want to deconstruct your thinking to find out why you believe what you believe. Remember never to deny the lived experiences of others or invalidate their reality. Share resources with others around you. 4. Educate yourself and others Teach workshops on diversity and inclusion, how to effect public policy, and how to lobby local decision-makers at the state capital. Take the time to read articles on Everyday Feminism to deconstruct your own internalized beliefs about marginalized groups and learn about implicit bias. Education is power. 5. Sleep in, eat, take care of your body and mind Activism takes a serious toll on your body. The amount of energy you expel physically and mentally during public actions amounts to more than you might think. When marching and participating in demonstrations, you must stay aware of your environment and be able to adapt to changing conditions. Self-care is an often overlooked yet important form of protest. Know that your existence is resistance, and part of preserving your existence involves supplying your body with what it needs: food, water, calmness, and relaxation. 6. Be selective about the media you consume You’ve probably heard the news about “fake news.” It’s out there. Remain critical of your news sources and don’t spread click-bait news if you can help it. Image via Pixabay.com On another note, also be selective about how much social media you consume. On high-traffic social media days such as the inauguration, Facebook and Twitter news feeds were 99 percent focused on the election, and this is draining and even triggering for people to absorb. Make sure not to spend too much time on social media especially before bed, as it is healing to disconnect for a while. 7. Express love Love is the most powerful force against injustice, bigotry, and hatred anywhere and anytime. IF you love someone, make it clear. Celebrate your love (romantic or not), for this is a radical form of protest against any force. 8. Make art Protest by painting your feelings post-inauguration day. Protest by sculpting or embroidering or drawing. Filling the world with art is a hugely powerful way to channel anxious or angry energy into something constructive and symbolic. 9. Think What you focus on expands. Think about how youll rally with your peers to create social change. We may be disillusioned at best given the results of the 2016 election, but we must recognize we are aligned for a revolution. We must strategize and disrupt the plans of leaders who are not aligned with the people’s best interest. For any amount of discrimination we experience in this country, we must counteract it with peace and positivity. We must act on our belief that women matter, that black lives matter, that all people of color matter, that queer and trans folks matter, that folks with disabilities matter, that low-income people matter, that undocumented people matter, and that our country can recover. The way we move forward in this political time will define our progress. Although not everybody can stand on the front lines of huge protests, anyone can find their own meaningful way to protest.

Introduction to Hybridization of Atomic Orbits

Introduction to Hybridization of Atomic OrbitsEven though the interrelationship between molecular orbital systems and atomic orbitals is not yet completely understood, it is clear that molecular orbital structures as well as atomic orbitals will form a major part of a course that deals with organic chemistry. That is one of the advantages of teaching the theory of organic chemistry at a college or university. The study of organic chemistry would be incomplete without an understanding of the methods by which it is performed. In particular, students would do well to understand the role played by hybridization of atomic orbitals, and how it provides insight into various aspects of organic chemistry. When you think about it, the chemical bond can be thought of as the result of a rearrangement of molecular orbital symmetry. Specifically, the bond is considered to occur when two atomic orbitals are bonded to each other. In other words, one atomic orbital is replaced by another. However, one m istake that may be made is to think that the mechanical bond, in the form of hydrogen bonding, is always present. In fact, other bonding structures are frequently seen. While it is true that a molecular orbital structure can result from hybridization of atomic orbitals, one important point should be noted. The bonding, which results from the hybridization of orbitals, is an atomic orbital structure that is a chemical bond, but one that has been replaced by a molecular orbital structure. This is an important aspect of this theory, and it has a fundamental difference from the traditional concepts of molecular orbital structure. One major example of this is the fact that the molecular orbital plane is not a circle, but instead an ellipse.Hybridization allows molecular orbitals to be replaced by molecular orbital structures, which can be seen to be different in many ways. Thus, the use of the terms 'atomic orbital'molecular orbital' are appropriate when referring to this theory, as they d escribe the same process.
